Coffee Connections
Coffee Connections are PCSN's informal working meetings.  They happen twice during the school year and take place on the Upper East Side in Manhattan.  Coffee Connections are a great way share ideas, be inspired by others and get advice on putting together new projects and programs.  Past topics have included:
  • Going Green: Recycling, Repurposing and Renewing
  • How to Plan a Community Service Day in Your School
  • Make MLK Day Count
  • Community Service Play Dates
  • Finding and Growing Service Partnerships with Schools Overseas
  • Ready-made Projects for Fundraisers and Drives
  • Talking Trash With Your Kids: Creating a Sustainable Community

Larger, network-wide seminars are planned once a year and include guest lectures, panel discussions and presentations on various aspects of community service in schools.  Past Seminars include "A Panel Discussion on Service-Learning,"  and "Beyond The Food Drive: A Conversation on Hunger."
